Fresh off his 5th Wimbledon title and 16th major win Novak Djokovic revealed that he switched to a plant based diet several years ago for health reasons but that many allergies he once had have disappeared since becoming a vegan and that he credits his quick recovery time to the diet. I love when world class athletes come out and speak of their move to a vegan diet; to me it’s more fuel for me when people argue that you don’t get enough protein or that a plant based diet cannot supply you with enough nutrition to survive an active lifestyle. Granted those arguments mostly come from people that know nothing about being a vegan but still there it is one of the greatest tennis players of our generation thriving and aging gracefully based on a plant based lifestyle.
