Gardein to launch line of burgers, hot dogs, and sausages to compete with Beyond Meat

Gardein will soon launch a new line of vegan burgers, hot dogs, and sausages that is bound to create a heavy weight battle between the vegan behemoths Beyond Meat and Gardein.  In all honesty I don’t know how anyone can compete with the Beyond Meat Hot Italian Sausages, now that it is summer and I can grill on the regular I have to fight the urge to not just grill and eat sausages (and burgers) every single night.  You can find links to the product on my products page to test for yourself....

If there is one company that can do it though it’s Gardein whose meatballs (also found on my products page) are also one of my favorite vegan meat alternatives.  It was only a matter of time before more competition entered the market, especially after the IPO of Beyond Meat and its surge from $25 on 05/01 to a current price of $177.  A $150 difference in 3 months, ridiculous.  Everyone wants a piece of the market and BYND’s early success is going to bring out anyone and everyone to try and get their slice of the profits.
 
​I am excited though to try the Gardein products, I haven’t found anything from them I do not like and mixing up the taste and choices of new vegan products is always fun.  I think one of the hardest factors for these companies is developing a product with the same consistency as real meat, not only does it need to taste great for the Vegan population but crossing over into the meat lover population, which Beyond Meat has been able to do, is what truly separates you and will drive future success and profits.
